The Tomcat that has been with people for 10 years
It's a casual game that most people know, and Talking Tom Cat has been with us for ten years since it was developed.
When Apple launched the App Store in July 2008, a Slovenian couple decided to make a name for themselves on the App Store and joined forces with some good friends to set up a small company called Outfit7 in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. outfit7, after many failed attempts, launched a mobile pet app game called The Talking Tom Cat". The game features a grey tiger-spotted, wide-eyed cartoon cat called Tom, and is simple to play, making it accessible to an age-neutral audience.

Talking Tom Cat is a simple electronic pet-type game that was initially advertised to the children's community in order to make it more popular. But to no one's imagination, teenagers and adults were more interested in Talking Tom Cat, and their sharing on social media platforms made the cat, whose look and voice reveal its goofy nature, quickly become popular. And in every country, you can also find some parents who use Tom Cat to coax their children.
Over the next year or two, Outfit 7 launched a series of small animals - Hippo the hippo, Harry the hedgehog, Larry the bird, Rex the dinosaur, John the 'germ', Robby the robot, Gina the giraffe, and many more. Gina, and so on. Together with the original Tom, these little creatures make up the Talking Tom Cat and his Friends series. One of the more important characters in the sequel to Tom Cat and his Friends is Angela. She is Tom's girlfriend, and the designers have given her a distinctive character - chic and pretty, fond of singing, dancing, travelling and fashion, and a bit of a temper. From Angela onwards, the Tom Cat characters began to take on more specific 'personas' and to interact with each other in a more story-like way. While games such as Tom's Love Letter and Tom Loves Angela are still very simple and may not be considered games to the core gamer, the interactions between the characters still bring something new to the table.
From 2011 to 2020, the Tom Cat series has produced a number of games that have been with us for a decade, and have themselves changed with the times. Today, the Talking Tom Cat has evolved from a virtual pet game to a "general casual game". Although many of the games in the series are suspiciously similar from a gamer's point of view, it is probably enough for Tom Cat fans that when they want to play a game, there is always a category of Tom Cat that will satisfy their needs.
